Pavo Sofa
FROMM, a rising luxury contemporary furniture and design brand, known for its blend of cross-cultural design and craftsmanship, proudly introduces the Pavo sofa, as part of the exclusive Ottoman Dream Collection at the Golden Opulence Exhibition, hosted by Beymen in Istanbul. The event marks Beymen's 50 years in the luxury fashion industry and the rich legacy of Ottoman luxury. This prestigious event takes place at the historic Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center in Istanbul, running from the 6th to the 30th of November.
FROMM. introduces the Pavo sofa, designed in collaboration with the acclaimed Italian designer Antonio Aricò. Unveiled on November 4th, 2023, the PAVO sofa is a showpiece of the Ottoman Dream Collection celebrating 500 years of Ottoman luxury. The sofa’s design speaks a playful and contemporary Italian language, reverberating with 500 years of opulence reinterpreted. Pavo merges Aricò's signature whimsical style with motifs inspired by the Ottoman era's luxury, encapsulated in the peacock, an emblem of beauty across many cultures, portrayed with a lively and organic touch.
Antonio Aricò remarks on the inspiration behind Pavo, “Reminiscing about my childhood memories, where the captivating beauty and vibrant colours of peacocks left a lasting impression on me. These majestic creatures, with their enchanting, large eyes, symbolize a timeless connection between Eastern and Western cultures and have been admired by ancient civilizations across history. As an artist, I wanted to capture their mesmerizing essence and timeless charm with the world.”
The Pavo sofa is an icon of FROMM.'s dedication to bridging cultural gaps through design, featuring rich velvet textures in rich blues and greens that bring the serenity and beauty of nature indoors.
Alia Rachid, CEO of FROMM., adds on the significance of the PAVO sofa: "The Pavo sofa is a celebration of FROMM.'s core values: heritage, craftsmanship, and the beauty of cultural exchange. Antonio Aricò's Italian roots, combined with his interpretation of Ottoman luxury, perfectly illustrate our dedication to creating a platform where designers can share their heritage on a world stage."
